The Kerry Blue Terrier Club of Central Florida Welcome to the Kerry Blue Terrier Club of Central Florida - Club History - In April of 1992 a group of breeders, owners and lovers of Kerry Blue Terriers met at a dog show in Ocala, Florida. At the first meeting they selected the name of THE KERRY BLUE TERRIER CLUB OF CENTRAL FLORIDA. The officers elected at the first meeting were: William MacLeod Pres., William Mowry, VP., Robert Jacques, Sec., Donald Jacques, Tres., William Tiller, Dir., Teresa Bransky, Dir. and Charles Groenendaal, Dir. The next few years were spent getting our AKC application submitted and changed and updated for approval by the AKC. In 1996 Anthony Lopez was elected President and he led us thru our final approval by AKC and on to our first show in 2003. This was an exciting year for the club. We were ready to hold our first AKC licenced show and also we hosted the United States Kerry Blue Terrier Club Traveling Specialty. Anthony Lopez judged our first sweepstakes and out of an entry of 24, named Eberly's Major Zoom Zoom as Best in Sweeps. Dr.Ralph Reilly judged our first show and named Ch Sherwood Poetic Justice as Best of Breed.
